It has long been pissed off that the animation on the main page is, of course, cool, but very long if you need to return to see the contacts. To this end, it was decided to add a state that would keep the flag, whether we watched the animation to the end. At the moment, I know one normal state manager what I has applied in a couple of projects, and it completely suits me. Simple, no bells and whistles, but still effective. In other matters, it seems to me that I do not use it to its fullest, there is something else to learn in order to apply cool tricks, but this is the best solution at the moment it seems to me.

If the technologies did not change and all that was available to us was a couple of highly specialized solutions, and it would probably be super simple, which is probably sculpted with a toolkit, and super difficult for old school guys. Apparently I just like to make beautiful things more than practical ones, so I choose which is simpler.

In general, I often notice that people choose tools that are more understandable to them, instead of more suitable ones.

But it is also true that each of us is truly unique. We are unique, our every action and even inaction is the result of the addition of a huge amount of experience, desires, beliefs, spoken aloud and meaningful in private. '

After class, I went out of town, to a small building on the outskirts, for a part-time job. They paid decently, enough not to need a scholarship. My classmate said that last year he went to watch vidos and received easy money for it. After a couple, I treated him to a beer and he gave me contacts, the next day I called but they told me that this year they are no longer looking for candidates. The first month I still skipped pairs, but in the second I realized that I could watch as many vidos as I wanted on popular services, but I would not receive payment for this work. Then one day they called me and said that the place was vacated, and they took me at the first social security appointment, the only requirement was to come at least three times a week, otherwise everything would end and I might not come back. At first it was very unusual, but over time I got used to it.

I sat there from two hours and had to watch the monitors with guys and girls. Some of them were always dressed in light clothes, while others often wore dark clothes. The ceilings of the rooms in which they were kept were high, so that they could only be heard if someone was directly under the cell. Sometimes their voices sounded familiar to me, as if I had seen them on a TV show or program. The strange thing was that these were ordinary guys, like my peers and I sometimes wondered who they were and what they did. Maybe it was some kind of sect, or an anonymous club, or a bunch of unsuccessful actors who always forget where the camera is. There was no particular interest, so by tamer I got up and left.

From their conversations, I heard that although they cannot leave, they are not there for long and that it will end soon. Sometimes it was frankly boring, everyone gets along with everyone, couples whisper too quietly about obscenities, guys play basketball on a special court (which, frankly, does not interest me), girls knit crochet and knitting or read books. A couple of times everyone got together to watch a movie on a projector. A couple of weeks later, the employer said that we should try to walk more often, and I was only glad, because now I could earn every day!

The next time I came, everyone was doing their usual business, everything looked the same. I dozed off a little and the timer woke me up, and I began to get ready to go home, but my attention was attracted by one monitor on which something was happening. Several guys stood and more people came slowly. There were two guys in the spotlight, one in a white T-shirt, the other in a black one.

They obviously did not share something with each other and discussed loudly, judging by the conversation, they were already switching to personal hostility and the situation was aggravated by the increasing attention of the public, which mainly consisted of white (T-shirts). They tried to calm down the guys, one came up, put his hand on the shoulder of his brother in color, tried to 'pull it out', slightly turned it to the side, convinced that it was not worth it, but at one point the guy in the black T-shirt got furious, pounced on the white one and applied several blows to the face.

Falling to the floor, they grappled and at that moment the crowd pulled them apart and the offended, spewing loud curses in sound and meaning, left the screens with the help of friends who wanted to stop the nonsense. It seemed to me that both of them shouldn't have been rude, and what definitely shouldn't have been done was to go with their fists and turn misunderstandings into enmity. They could clearly agree that everyone is wrong in something and shake hands. I sat for another ten minutes, watching the girlish advice of different colors, which tried to look like nothing had happened, but it was clear that now they were alarmed.

The next day, everything did not look so easy, there was a distance between white and black. Whites looked more carefree than blacks. In essence, they behaved the same way, only now they all wore tinted glasses.

In the premises, it became more often seen that guys and girls in black T-shirts were cleaning, washing dishes, painting walls, peeling off peeling paint, collecting garbage and less and less doing their usual idleness. Passers-by in white T-shirts sympathetically gave recommendations to workers on how to optimize work processes, for which they were rewarded with silent ridicule and outrageous antics when they left. The worker caste was indignant and the fuse of the bomb was lit.

In the meantime, my academic performance deteriorated greatly, because there was enough money to spend carefree evenings with friends, and the employer contacted me again and offered to earn even more, only this time I will be inside. Many people told me that next year I would have more chances to pass my subjects, the salary for the new position seemed decent and I agreed.

- Overseer. I can convince the guys to behave with restraint. - Decently thoughtful, I answered.

This was the answer to the question after a brief immersion in the meaning of what was happening. I was told that this is not a performance, but an experiment with ordinary students from another city, and its participants are divided into two groups, one watching the other to keep order. They said not to speak out loud about the experiment and try to get used to the role. I was given glasses, white clothes, and I went downstairs, under the lenses of the cameras.

I was met by my white colleagues, we exchanged pleasantries, got to know each other, and then I started to tremble: I had never seen their faces and, looking at one of the guards for a long time, noticed that if I had a twin brother, I would look exactly the same.
 - And you and I are somewhat similar - I told him.
 - We are you.
 -- In terms of? - with a smile and a sense of the obvious asburd of the situation, I looked into the faces of others. They were all alike. All my brothers.
 - Are you all my brothers?
 - We are all clones. - responded, standing nearby.
 -- 'What's going on here?' - I said aloud, feeling the obvious slip of reality from consciousness. It was getting dark before my eyes, I sat down to recover.
 - My clones? But why?

One of them came closer to me and, smiling slightly, explained:
- We are all clones of each other, we were created at one moment on the mold of the consciousness of one person about a year ago. He had one life, now it is as much as we are. We do not know what the goal is, but specifically our task is to keep an eye on the others.
- And the rest ... too?
- Yes, the prisoners are clones of the same person. We have the same interests and tastes, but at different times.
 - But if we are all the same, why do you behave with them as if they are somehow worse than you? Don't you want to live in peace with them? Do privileges change anything?
 - We were appointed to supervise. If you help us, everything will be fine. If you defend them, you will join them. We have our own party here, and we were not expecting new ones.
 “How am I going to join them if I’ve been appointed an overseer like you?”
- Do you see someone here who gave you the privilege?

I didn’t notice, but recently they were given truncheons, but they didn’t give me one, apparently they forgot. They were inspired by the power now available to them. A little difference, a butterfly effect, and things could be different.

Do not ask the model to be smart. Give it a system.

An AI agent stops being a toy when it has durable memory around it: decisions, constraints, files, checklists and operating rules. Without that, every conversation starts from zero, even when the model itself is capable.

For me, the strongest effect is not just faster code. The value is continuity: the agent reads the project, keeps the task context, compares actual changes with the plan and pulls attention back to the next concrete step.

The weak point is obvious: if everything lives only in chat, the context disappears. A useful agent should leave artifacts behind: notes, specs, decision logs and small reports. That is what keeps work from falling apart between sessions.

An agent is not a replacement for thinking. It is external working memory with discipline. It should ask fewer unnecessary questions, verify facts, update files and keep direction. Then the human has more energy for judgment, taste and responsibility.

Good-looking screenshots are useful, but weak on their own. They show the surface, yet say almost nothing about the task, audience, constraints or reasons behind specific decisions.

A strong case answers a few simple questions: what problem needed to be solved, what was difficult, which tradeoffs were made, what changed after the work and what should be improved next.

Process notes are not excuses or filler. They are a way to show responsibility. When people can see how you think, it is easier for them to trust you with complicated work.

I want this blog to become more than a set of random posts. It should be a decision journal. Every article should add evidence that behind the interfaces, code and visuals there is someone who can understand the problem, explain the work and finish it properly.

Blue Without a Name: What Humanity Still Cannot Distinguish

In 2022, the team behind Cortical Labs showed a strange and slightly unsettling experiment: living human and mouse neurons were grown on a microelectrode array, connected to a simple Pong-like environment, and trained through feedback. When the system performed better, the input became more predictable. When it performed worse, the signal became more chaotic.

We should be careful not to humanize this too quickly. It does not mean the cells "liked" or "disliked" anything in the human sense. But the fact itself is striking: even nervous tissue without a body, biography, language, or dopamine-driven motivational system does not look passive. It tends toward a more stable loop between input and output.

That raises a hard question: where is the line between a system that merely adapts and a system that, in some primitive way, experiences a world?

A human is not just a larger version of neurons on a plate. The difference is not only the number of neurons, and probably not only dopamine. A human has a body, hunger, pain, fatigue, memory, social pressure, language, fear of death, a sense of "mine" and "not mine", a long future horizon, and the need to explain itself to other people. Out of this, the "I" may emerge: not as a mystical spark, but as a control model an organism uses to manage itself through time.

There is another layer. We do not perceive the world directly. We perceive it through categories we have learned to separate.

Color makes this unusually visible. Across languages, basic color terms did not always appear in the same order. Blue was physically there all along, but a separate cultural category for it often emerged late. People were not blind to the sky; rather, their language and attention did not mark that boundary as important in the same way.

So the more interesting question is not about blue itself. It is this:

What is around us right now, as obvious as blue, that we still do not know how to distinguish?

We still distinguish kinds of attention very poorly. We say someone is focused, distracted, tired, or scrolling. That vocabulary is almost certainly too coarse.

Maybe a century from now, people will have dozens of ordinary words for attention states: attention that scans for threat; attention that builds a model; attention that performs the appearance of work; attention that waits for reward; attention that is anchored in the body; attention that is quietly performing for other people.

Today we often call all of it one thing: concentration.

2. Social Reality as a Physical Environment

We tend to treat "the social" as soft: opinions, relationships, culture. But for a human organism, status, shame, trust, exclusion, and recognition can be almost as real as cold or pain.

We may be underestimating how much the brain uses other people as part of its own regulatory system. The "I" may not be a sealed object. It may be a node in a network of mutual prediction.

We have words like sadness, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout. They are useful, but very large. It is as if many shades of blue, green, and gray were all called "dark".

Some states we currently place in the same bucket may be fundamentally different: loss of future, social invisibility, inability to act, chronic suppressed anger, collapse of meaning, lack of a safe witness, disruption of bodily prediction.

We use similar words because we do not yet distinguish the states well enough.

4. Collective Intelligence and Collective Stupidity

We know how to say "a smart person" or "a stupid crowd", but we do not yet see group intelligence clearly as its own phenomenon.

Sometimes a group becomes smarter than any single participant. Sometimes normal people together produce catastrophic stupidity. The difference is often not inside the people. It is in the structure of communication: which errors are allowed, who can object, how status circulates, whether truth or loyalty is rewarded.

We still lack everyday perception for this: this structure produces truth; that structure produces self-deception.

We recognize addictions to substances, games, porn, food, social media. But there may be subtler addictions: to being right, to having an explanation, to emotional drama, to resentment, to the rescuer role, to constant novelty, to a particular image of oneself.

A person can be addicted not only to an object, but to a mode of being themselves.

We still understand poorly how the body participates in thought. Not in the obvious sense that "the body affects mood", but more deeply: part of what we call thought, intuition, decision, or desire may be the brain reading organs, immune signals, breathing, muscle tone, and micro-movements.

We say, "I think." Sometimes a more accurate phrase would be: "My organism proposed an interpretation."

Our ladder is very crude: a stone is not a subject, a human is, animals are somewhere in between, AI is debated, organoids are debated. But subjecthood may not be binary.

It may have dimensions: pain, memory, self-regulation, a model of the world, a model of oneself, the capacity to suffer, the capacity to want, the capacity to be disturbed.

Living neurons on a plate point directly at this blind spot. We do not have enough words between "just cells" and "a conscious being".

Historically, people often failed to see what later became morally obvious until a category appeared: slavery, children's rights, domestic violence, mental health, consent, burnout.

Something similar may already be near us. Possible candidates: our treatment of animals; old age; children as parental property; human attention as an extractable resource; digital traces of personhood; artificial or biological systems with early forms of experience.

We talk about the ecology of nature, but barely about the ecology of the mind. Our environment is now designed at scale to capture attention, intensify comparison, anxiety, desire, anger, and the endless expectation of another stimulus.

Future people may see information pollution as real as air pollution.

For now, we say: "You spend too much time on your phone." That is like calling a poisoned city "a little dusty."

One of the largest unnamed blues may be this: a human is not a single agent in the way it feels like one.

We already know about the unconscious, split-brain cases, competing motivations, internal parts. But culture still asks a person to behave like one solid "I".

Future psychology may not say "a person has a personality". It may say: "a person is a method for coordinating many semi-autonomous processes." Not metaphorically. Literally.

The largest failures in our knowledge may not come from a lack of information. They may come from a lack of distinctions. We see the symptoms, but name them with words that are too large: stress, motivation, personality, mindfulness, intelligence, normality.

Maybe the strangest blue is not an external object at all.

Maybe it is the fact that we still do not have a good language for the different ways of being ourselves.

Давно чому-небудь бісило, що анімація на головній, звісно, крута, але дуже довга, якщо потрібно повернутися, щоб подивитися контакти. З цією метою було вирішено додати стейт, який би зберігав прапорець, переглянули ми анімацію до кінця чи ні.
Наразі я знаю одного нормального менеджера стейтів, який я використовував у декількох проектах, і він мені повністю підходить. Простий, без зайвих наворотів, але все ж ефективний. Зрештою, мені здається, я його не використовую на повну катушку, є ще, що вивчити, щоб застосувати круті фішки, але наразі це найкращий варіант, який мені здається.

Але також вірно і те, що кожен з нас насправді унікальний. Ми неповторні, кожна наша дія і навіть бездіяльність - результат складання великої кількості досвіду, бажань, переконань, висловленого вслух і осмисленого наодинці.

Після занять я вирушив за місто, в невелике будівле на околиці, на підробіток. Платили непогано, достатньо, щоб не потребувати стипендії. Мій одногрупник сказав, що минулого року він ходив дивитися відео та отримував за це легкі гроші. Після пар я угостив його пивом, і він дав мені контакти. На наступний день я зателефонував, але мені сказали, що в цьому році вже не шукають кандидатів. Перший місяць я ще пропускав пари, але на другий я зрозумів, що можу дивитися скільки завгодно відео на популярних сервісах, але оплату за цю працю не отримаю. Потім одного разу мені зателефонували і сказали, що місце звільнилося, і мене взяли на першому співбесіді. Єдиною вимогою було приходити щонайменше три рази на тиждень, інакше все закінчиться, і я можу не повертатися. Спочатку було дуже незвично, але з часом я звик.

Я сидів там від двох годин і повинен був спостерігати за моніторами з хлопцями та дівчатами. Деякі з них завжди були одягнені в світлу одяг, інші частіше ходили в темному. Стелі в приміщеннях, де вони перебували, були високі, тому можна було чути тільки тих, хто знаходився прямо під камерою. Іноді їхні голоси мені здавалися знайомими, наче я бачив їх у серіалі або в передачі. Дивно було те, що це були звичайні хлопці та дівчата, як мої однолітки, і іноді я задавався питанням, хто вони такі і чим вони займаються. Можливо, це була якась секта, або анонімний клуб, або купа неудачних акторів, які постійно забувають, де камера. Особливого інтересу не було, тому я підходив до таймеру, вставав і виходив.

З їх розмов я почув, що хоч вони і не можуть вийти, але вони там не на довго і це скоро закінчиться. Іноді було відверто нудно, всі з всіма ладні, пари шепчуться занадто тихо про нецензурності, хлопці грають в баскетбол на спеціальному майданчику (який мене відверто кажучи не цікавить), дівчата в'яжуть гачком і спицями або читають книги. Пару разів всі збиралися разом, щоб дивитися фільм на проекторі. Через кілька тижнів роботодавець повідомив, що треба намагатися ходити частіше, і я був лише радий, адже тепер я міг заробляти кожен день!

Коли я прийшов наступного разу, всі займалися звичайними справами, все виглядало, як завжди. Я трохи задрімав і мене розбудив таймер, і я став готуватися додому, але мою увагу привернув один монітор, на якому щось відбувалося. Кілька хлопців стояли і повільно приходили ще люди. У центрі уваги були два хлопці, один у білій футболці, інший у чорній.

Вони явно щось не поділили між собою і голосно обговорювали, судячи з розмови, вони вже переходили на особисту неприязнь і ситуація ускладнювалася все більшою увагою глядачів переважно з білих (футболок). Вони намагалися заспокоїти хлопців, один підійшов, поклав руку на плече свого собрата за кольором, намагався його "витягнути", легко розвертав в бік, переконував, що це того не варто, але в один момент хлопець у чорній футболці розгнівався, кинувся на білого і наніс кілька ударів в обличчя.

Впавши на підлогу, вони схопилися і в цей момент толпа їх розтягнула і образлені, викидаючи голосні за звуком і змістом прокляття, віддалилися з екранів за допомогою друзів, які бажали припинити дурнуватість. Мені здавалося, що обом не варто було бути грубими, і що точно не варто було робити - це йти з кулаками і перетворювати незрозуміння у ворожнечу. Вони явно могли б прийти до згоди, що кожен у чомусь не правий і пожати один одному руки. Я ще просидів десять хвилин, спостерігаючи дівчачий порадний різних кольорів, які намагалися виглядати наче нічого не сталося, але було видно, що тепер вони втурбовані.

Наступного дня все виглядало не так непринуждено, між білими і чорними дотримувалася дистанція. Білі виглядали більш безтурботними, ніж чорні. Насправді вони вели себе так само, лише тепер вони всі носили затемнені окуляри.

В приміщеннях частіше стало видно, що хлопці та дівчата в чорних футболках прибирають, миють посуд, фарбують стіни, знімають відлущену фарбу, прибирають сміття і все рідше займаються звичайною бездіяльністю. Проходячи повз у білих футболках, вони участьово надавали рекомендації працюючим щодо оптимізації робочих процесів, за що їх, коли вони виходили, нагороджували беззвучними насмішками та обурливими скручуваннями. Каста робітників негодувала, і фітіль бомби був запалений.

Тим часом мої навчальні досягнення суттєво погіршилися, оскільки грошей було достатньо, щоб проводити безтурботні вечори серед друзів, але роботодавець знову зв'язався зі мною і запропонував заробляти ще більше, але цього разу я буду в середині. Багато хто говорив мені, що в наступному році у мене буде більше шансів скласти предмети, заробітна плата на новій посаді виглядала непоганою, і я погодився.

- Наглядач. Я зможу переконати хлопців вести себе обережно. - відповів я, гідно задумавшись.

Це була відповідь на питання після короткого занурення в сенс того, що відбувається. Мені розповіли, що це не вистава, а експеримент зі звичайними студентами із іншого міста, і його учасники поділені на дві групи, одні спостерігають за іншими, щоб відслідковувати порядок. Сказали не розмовляти вголос про експеримент і спробувати увійти в роль. Мені видали окуляри, білу одяг та я спустився вниз перед об'єктивами камер.

Мене зустріли мої білі колеги, ми обмінялися вітаннями, познайомились, і тут мене почало пробирати дрож: я ніколи не бачив їхні обличчя і, довго дивлячись на одного з охоронців, помітив, що якщо б у мене був брат-близнюк, то він виглядав би точно так само.
 -- А ми з тобою чимось схожі, - сказав я йому.
 -- Ми це ти.
 -- В сенсі? - з посмішкою та відчуттям явного абсурду ситуації я поглянув на обличчя інших. Вони всі були як дві краплі води. Усі мої брати.
 -- Ви всі мої брати?
 -- Ми всі клони. - відповіли ті, що стояли поруч.
 -- “Що тут відбувається?” - промовив я вслух, відчуваючи явне втрату свідомості реальності. Перед очима темнішало, і я сів, щоб прийти до себе.
 -- Мої клони? Але чому?


До мене підійшов один з них і, слабко посміхнувшись, пояснив:
-- Ми всі клони один одного, нас створили в один момент на основі свідомості одного людини приблизно рік тому. У нього було одне життя, а тепер їх стільки, скільки нас. Ми не знаємо, яка мета цього, але конкретно наше завдання - слідкувати за рештою.
-- А інші... теж?
-- Так, в'язні - це клони тієї ж людини. У нас спільні інтереси і смаки, але в різний час.
-- Але якщо ми всі однакові, то чому ви ставитеся до них так, ніби вони чимось гірші від вас? Чи не бажаєш ти жити з ними в мирі? Чи привілеї щось змінюють?
-- Нас призначили наглядати. Якщо ти будеш нам допомагати, то все буде добре. Якщо ти будеш захищати їх - то приєднаєшся до них. У нас тут своя компанія, і новачків ми не чекали.
-- Як це я приєднаюся до них, якщо мене призначили наглядачем, як тебе?
-- Ти бачиш тут когось, хто тобі надав привілею?


Я не помітив, але недавно їм роздали дубинки, а ось мені таку не видавали, можливо, забули. Вони були в захваті від влади, яка тепер стала їм доступною. Невелика різниця, ефект метелика, і все може бути інакше.

Не просити модель бути розумною, а давати їй систему

AI-агент перестає бути іграшкою тоді, коли навколо нього зʼявляється стійка памʼять: рішення, обмеження, файли, чеклісти і правила роботи. Без цього кожна розмова починається з нуля, навіть якщо модель формально дуже сильна.

Найкращий ефект для мене не в тому, що агент просто швидше пише код. Цінність у тому, що він не дає втратити нитку: читає проєкт, памʼятає контекст задачі, звіряє фактичні зміни з планом і повертає увагу до наступного конкретного кроку.

Є і слабке місце: якщо все живе тільки в чаті, контекст зникає. Тому корисний агент має залишати після себе артефакти: нотатки, специфікації, журнали рішень, маленькі звіти. Тоді робота не розсипається між сесіями.

Мій практичний висновок

Агент - це не заміна мислення, а зовнішня робоча памʼять із дисципліною. Він має ставити менше зайвих питань, перевіряти факти, оновлювати файли і тримати курс. Тоді в людини залишається більше сил на рішення, які справді потребують смаку і відповідальності.

AI-агенти як робоча пам'ять

Гарні скріншоти корисні, але самі по собі вони слабкі. Вони показують форму, проте майже нічого не кажуть про задачу, аудиторію, обмеження і причини конкретних рішень.

Сильний кейс відповідає на кілька простих питань: яку проблему треба було вирішити, що було складним, які компроміси довелося прийняти, що змінилося після роботи і що варто було б покращити наступним кроком.

Опис процесу - це не виправдання і не зайва вода. Це спосіб показати рівень відповідальності. Коли видно, як людина думає, їй значно легше довірити складну задачу.

Що я хочу бачити у власному блозі

Синій без імені: що людство досі не вміє розрізняти

У 2022 році команда Cortical Labs показала дивний і трохи тривожний експеримент: живі нейрони людини й миші вирощували на мікроелектродній платі, підключали до простого середовища на кшталт Pong і навчали через зворотний зв'язок. Коли система діяла краще, вхідний сигнал ставав передбачуванішим. Коли гірше, сигнал ставав хаотичнішим.

Тут важливо не олюднювати клітини занадто швидко. Це не означає, що їм щось "подобалося" чи "не подобалося" у людському сенсі. Але сам факт вражає: навіть нервова тканина без тіла, біографії, мови й дофамінової мотиваційної системи не виглядає пасивною. Вона прагне стабільнішого контуру між входом і виходом.

І звідси виникає складне питання: де проходить межа між системою, яка просто адаптується, і системою, яка вже в якомусь примітивному сенсі переживає світ?

Людина не є просто більшою версією нейронів на платі. Різниця не лише в кількості нейронів і, ймовірно, не лише в дофаміні. У людини є тіло, голод, біль, втома, пам'ять, соціальний тиск, мова, страх смерті, відчуття "моє" й "не моє", довгий горизонт майбутнього та потреба пояснювати себе іншим людям. Із цього поступово збирається "я": не містична іскра, а модель керування, за допомогою якої організм веде себе крізь час.

Є ще один шар. Ми не сприймаємо світ напряму. Ми сприймаємо його через категорії, які навчилися розділяти.

На кольорах це видно особливо добре. У різних мовах базові назви кольорів з'являлися не одночасно. Синій фізично був завжди, але окрема культурна категорія для нього часто виникала пізно. Люди не були сліпими до неба; радше їхня мова й увага не позначали цю межу як настільки важливу.

Тому цікаве питання не про сам синій. Воно таке:

Що прямо зараз є навколо нас так само очевидно, як синій колір, але ми ще не вміємо це розрізняти?

Ми досі дуже грубо розрізняємо види уваги. Кажемо: людина сфокусована, відволіклася, втомилася, залипла. Але цей словник майже напевно занадто бідний.

Можливо, через сто років у нас будуть десятки звичайних слів для станів уваги: увага, яка шукає загрозу; увага, яка будує модель; увага, яка імітує роботу; увага, яка чекає винагороди; увага, яка прив'язана до тіла; увага, яка тихо грає роль перед іншими.

Сьогодні ми часто називаємо все це одним словом: концентрація.

2. Соціальна реальність як фізичне середовище

Ми звикли думати про соціальне як про щось м'яке: думки, стосунки, культура. Але для людського організму статус, сором, довіра, вигнання й визнання можуть бути майже такими ж реальними, як холод або біль.

Можливо, ми недооцінюємо, наскільки мозок використовує інших людей як частину власної регуляторної системи. "Я" може бути не закритим об'єктом, а вузлом у мережі взаємного передбачення.

3. Різні типи страждання

У нас є слова: сум, тривога, депресія, стрес, вигорання. Вони корисні, але дуже великі. Наче багато відтінків синього, зеленого й сірого ми називали б одним словом: "темне".

Деякі стани, які ми зараз кладемо в один кошик, можуть бути принципово різними: втрата майбутнього, соціальна невидимість, неможливість діяти, хронічно пригнічена злість, розпад сенсу, брак безпечного свідка, збій тілесного передбачення.

Ми користуємося схожими словами, бо ще не розрізняємо ці стани достатньо добре.

4. Колективний інтелект і колективна дурість

Ми вміємо казати "розумна людина" або "дурний натовп", але погано бачимо інтелект групи як окреме явище.

Іноді група стає розумнішою за будь-якого окремого учасника. Іноді нормальні люди разом виробляють катастрофічну дурість. Різниця часто не всередині людей, а в структурі спілкування: які помилки дозволені, хто може заперечувати, як циркулює статус, де винагороджується правда, а де лояльність.

Нам бракує повсякденної оптики, щоб бачити: ця структура виробляє істину, а ця виробляє самообман.

5. Невидимі форми залежності

Ми розпізнаємо залежність від речовин, ігор, порно, їжі, соцмереж. Але можуть існувати тонші залежності: від правоти, від поясненості, від емоційної драми, від образи, від ролі рятівника, від постійної новизни, від певного образу себе.

Людина може бути залежною не лише від об'єкта, а й від режиму бути собою.

6. Внутрішні інтерфейси тіла

Ми досі погано розуміємо, як тіло бере участь у мисленні. Не в очевидному сенсі "тіло впливає на настрій", а глибше: частина того, що ми називаємо думкою, інтуїцією, рішенням або бажанням, може бути способом, яким мозок читає органи, імунні сигнали, дихання, м'язовий тонус і мікрорухи.

Ми кажемо: "я думаю". Іноді точніше було б: "мій організм запропонував інтерпретацію".

7. Ступені суб'єктності

Наша шкала дуже груба: камінь не суб'єкт, людина суб'єкт, тварини десь посередині, ШІ під питанням, органоїди під питанням. Але суб'єктність може бути не бінарною.

Вона може мати виміри: біль, пам'ять, саморегуляція, модель світу, модель себе, здатність страждати, здатність хотіти, здатність бути порушеним.

Живі нейрони на платі прямо вказують на цю сліпу зону. Нам бракує слів між "просто клітини" й "свідома істота".

8. Майбутні моральні категорії

Історично люди часто не бачили того, що пізніше ставало морально очевидним, доки не з'являлася категорія: рабство, права дітей, домашнє насильство, психічне здоров'я, consent, вигорання.

Щось подібне може вже бути поруч із нами. Можливі кандидати: ставлення до тварин; старість; діти як власність батьків; людська увага як ресурс для видобування; цифрові сліди особистості; штучні або біологічні системи з ранніми формами переживання.

Ми говоримо про екологію природи, але майже не говоримо про екологію психіки. Середовище тепер масово проєктується так, щоб захоплювати увагу, підсилювати порівняння, тривогу, бажання, злість і нескінченне очікування наступного стимулу.

Можливо, майбутні люди вважатимуть інформаційне забруднення таким же реальним, як забруднення повітря.

Поки що ми кажемо: "ти забагато сидиш у телефоні". Це як назвати отруєне місто "трохи запиленим".

Приховані стани уваги навколо людини з телефоном

Один із найбільших неназваних синіх може бути таким: людина не є єдиним агентом у тому сенсі, у якому їй це здається.

Ми вже знаємо про несвідоме, split-brain, конкуруючі мотивації, внутрішні частини. Але культура досі вимагає від людини поводитися як одне монолітне "я".

Можливо, майбутня психологія казатиме не "у людини є особистість", а "людина — це спосіб узгодження багатьох напівавтономних процесів". Не метафорично. Буквально.

Найбільші провали в нашому знанні можуть бути не через брак інформації, а через брак розрізнень. Ми бачимо прояви, але називаємо їх занадто великими словами: стрес, мотивація, особистість, усвідомленість, розум, норма.

Можливо, найдивніший синій — це не зовнішній об'єкт.

Можливо, це те, що ми досі не маємо доброї мови для різних способів бути собою.
